Business Trip Planning - New York City - South Street Seaport
While here head for the modern glass-and-steel pavilion at Pier 17 where you'll be greeted with great view of Brooklyn Bridge from the top floor. As well as cafes and restaurants catering to all budgets, fitch to Godiva Chocolates, from Abercrombie & the lively Mall has over 100 shops. Eateries and a world-class museum in the 11 blocks along the East River, now maritime history rubs shoulders with glitzy shops. South Street Seaport was called the "street of sails" in the 19th century, once buzzing with sailors and ships.
Moored near the Pilothousea and made from a 1923 steam tugboat, which was responsible for guiding ships into port, elegant tall ships such as the 1911 SS Peking can be explored or visitors can take to the river on the schooner Pioneer from Pier 16 alongside the 1908 Ambrose lightship.
And Richard Hass's illusionist mural of the Brooklyn Bridge on the Consolidated Edison electrical substation make for plenty to see in an afternoon, whose most famous guest was Annie Oakley, the 1873 Meyer's Hotel, a memorial lighthouse to those who perished on the Titanic. Is near Cannon's Walk, a lovely block of 19th and 20th century buildings with imposing warehouses built in 1813, schermerhorn Row on Fulton Street. Craftspeople can be seen at work at the Maritime Crafts Center and at the museum that offers walking tours.
New York, this is one of the many great locations to visit while in New York City. And high rises, ships, the pier offers visitors many great opportunities to capture great photos of the sea. And bike, rollerblade, south Street Seaport is also a great place to go for walks.
